The NC Building Commissioning Committee is a collaborative group of building and facility professionals committed to developing and promoting building commissioning practices for the State of North Carolina public facilities.

The spring meeting of NCCX is scheduled for May 14, 2008 from 9 am to noon at NCSU's McKimmon Center, with a bonus session in the afternoon.  For the meeting agenda go to the Meetings & Minutes tab and select the NCCX 2008 Meeting Agenda.

Thank you for attending the conference, most presentations have now been posted on the 'Resources' page under Past Meeting Presentations.

The Committee goals for 2008 are the following:

  1. Educate and raise awareness that the building commissioning process is necessary and beneficial.
  2. Provide recommendations on how to best procure and implement commissioning services.
  3. Demonstrate the benefits and justify the cost of commissioning new and existing buildings.
  4. Promote the inclusion of the Cx process in new building construction and renovations.

Senate Bill 668, “An act to promote the conservation of energy and water use in State, University, and Community College Buildings” was recently ratified and signed into law.  The act states that commissioning of new or renovated State owned facilities shall be required.  A summary of the bill is under the Resources page, under Cx and related documents.  A link to the actual bill can be found under the Links page.
